PROJECT DIRECTOR: Peter Matjašič

As Secretary-General of the Young European Federalists (JEF-Europe) Peter is the person legally responsible for the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the project. Peter relies on a strong team that is determined to make this seminar is a true success and reachout to as many young Europeans as possible. Peter originally comes from Slovenia but considers himself a true European, having lived and traveled in various parts of Europe (e.g. Barcelona, Berlin).

EB RESPONSIBLE: Martin Fischer

As EB responsible, Martin helped to prepare the content for the seminar and is involved with the implementation of the programme. Martin will be responsible to forge a link between JEF and political policy making during the seminar. Martin has been an active member of JEF for several years and is now member of the board of JEF-Europe.

PROJECT ASSISTANT: Pia Menning

Pia is from Germany started to work at the secretariat of JEF-Europe in April 2009. During her EVS she has  mainly engaged in communication issues, but has been instrumental in the preparation for numerous international seminars. She studied European and Comparative Law in Bremen, Groningen and Ghent and gained practical experiences during internships in Berlin and Brussels. She is passionate about European politics and traveling around the world.

JEF SLOVAKIA PRESIDENT: Peter Stadler

Peter’s position in the organisation is the president of JEF Slovakia. Peter is very proud that JEF Slovakia, as new member in JEF family can host such a huge event that is an international seminar. Peter is responsible for dealing with the European instituitions on behalf of the Seminar, approaching media regarding the event and realising the bugeting flow.

JEF SLOVAKIA INTERNATIONAL OFFICER: Andrea Tittelova

Andrea’s position in both the project and  JEF Slovakia is an InternationalProject Manager. In relation to the seminar, Andrea is responsible for dealing with the structuring of sessions, programme logistics and organising the external speakers. Andrea manages the HR of JEF Slovakia for the programme and has been instrumental in providing a coordination link between JEF Slovakia and JEF Europe, especially in dealing with travel and visa arrangements.

JEF SLOVAKIA INTERNATIONAL OFFICER: Radoslava Serakova

Radoslava is a student  of Faculty of the International Affairs of The Universityof Economy in Bratislava. Radoslava’s position in JEF Slovakia and in the project is as the international project co-ordinator, who is responsible for the semiar flow and the programme session’s logistics and equipment. During the preparations, Radoslava has been liasing with and supporting the Slovak seminar participants. Radoslava believes that the values of JEF can be empowered by all these international activitiesm, which a Seminar on Gender Equality in 2010 proves!

LOGISTICAL COORDINATOR: Michal Rimovsky

Michal’s position in organising committee for the seminar on Gender Equality in Bratislava is as the logistic team co-ordinator. Michal is  responsible for organising the logistics, acommodation, food requirements and technical equipment for the seminar.

PROJECT ASSISTANT: Sibila Ivanova

Sibila Ivanova is a young Bulgarian political activist. She studied IT and PR in Exupery Highschool in Bulgaria and then specialised in International and EU policies in Bosporus University Istanbul, Turkey. Her experience includes PR, events organization, workshops and working with people from different countries in BSEC International Organization and in Bosporus University. She joined AIESEC to intern abroad and decided to go to Slovakia and help in the daily work of JEF Slovakia to promote knowledge of EU among young people, make interventions in high schools and help the NGO in the preparation of the international seminar on Gender Equality.

PROJECT TRAINER: Ekaterina Frolova

Ekaterina joined the team in order to share her knowledge in the field of Gender Studies with the participants of the seminar. She will be in charge of leading and facilitating certain sessions, raising questions and encouraging discussions on various gender related issues. Ekaterina holds her Master Degree in Gender Studies from the Central European University, Budapest and is currently enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Bern, Switzerland.

PROJECT INTERN: Tomas Spragg

As a project intern from the UK, Tomas has joined the project team to create the project website, ensure the content provokes questions and stimulates discussion in the comment corner and the early stages of the seminar. Moreover, he makes sure that numerous web 2.0 tools available can be best utilised for the promotion of the seminar and furthermore ensures a link with thenewfederalist.eu as one of its editors. Tomas studied International Politics at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and has been involved with numerous youth organisations in the UK.

PROJECT INTERN: Johannes Kunath

Johannes started as an intern for JEF Europe recently in March 2010 and has asisted in researching content for the blog. In the past, Johannes has been working in other youth organizations and as a student representative for his university in Chemnitz, Germany. He studied European Studies with a focus on Eastern European integration.
